March 2021 - Present
PlayerData powers athletes and coaches through wearable GPS devices and a mobile and web application to serve metrics and other analytical data. The mobile and web apps use React Native, Typescript and GraphQL and are powered by a Ruby (Rails) api backend. Python is responsible for all data processing. In this position I have responsibility across the development stack as well as maintaining the services that are deployed to the cloud (Google Cloud and Kubernetes).
Jan 2018 - March 2021
My time at Yordas Group included custom web applications with big clients including Kingfisher, Bosch, Volkswagen and Airbus. This was all in the scope of import/export regulations and regulatory data. Most of the applications were powered by PHP (CakePHP), Javascript and Python.
July 2016 - July 2017
I completed 2 summer interships at Administrate working on a new instructor and student portal and a improved certificate generation system. These services are powered mainly by Java, JavaScript, React, GraphQL and PHP. Overall maintenance and improvements were also performed within my day to day duties at the company.
Sept 2014 - Sept 2018
A four-year science masters course in Computer Science focusing in my final year on: Data Mining, Distributed Systems, Advanced Human-Computer Interaction, Research Methods, and an Industrial Placement.
A healthy work life balance is important to preventing burnout and staying happy. I find unplugging from digital life to be the best way to achieve this, although I do like to spend a good amount of my time playing video games. See below some of the other hobbies and interests I have.
